"Child Room" is a schoolchild nursery school.
Generally, children up to fourth grade spend after school. In the Utase area, there were two "child rooms" attached to the existing primary school. However, due to the strong hope of the nearby residents that they want to cope with the ever-increasing number of children, they will be added to Mihama Utse Elementary School.
A couple of instructors watch over homework, snacks, drawing, and outside play, at regular intervals. Among them, children spend their time freely.
However, the condition for initially accommodating 80 people on the floor area of 150 square meters was too unreasonable. Under this condition, children can be pushed into a small place. We wanted to avoid creating an environment where children could lose their space literacy, which allows them to discover various places themselves.

Therefore, I saw the ground of the elementary school and the adjacent park green area as a place for activities of the "Child Room". I opened toward them and stretched my eyebrows to make it continuous.
In addition, 12 types of steel pipes with different diameters from 48φ to 355φ were freely placed from the room to the swallow. They are, of course, the structures that support the roof, but at the same time they are also devices that lose the hierarchy of planar space. A free space will be the center of children's activities.
